New Delhi, Feb 2 : Katrina Kaif was reportedly set to sing for Ali Zafar's upcoming album but the Pakistani actor-singer says that the project is not happening as of now.
The two developed a friendship while working on ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' and Ali says that the 27-year-old actress has a penchant for music.
“Me and Katrina are good friends and whenever we meet we like to jam and discuss music, play the guitar.
But plans to record something professionally is not in the current scheme of things. It is not happening in the near future,” Ali told PTI.
Rumours had it that the 31-year-old is working on his next album and was planning to rope in Katrina for it.
“I keep making music now and then but right now I am busy with films, so no album as such is in the pipeline.
My last album was ‘Jhoom' which was more of a Sufi one. I usually take 2-3 years time to come out with an album,” he said.
Ali, who made his acting debut with the film ‘Tere Bin Laden', will next be seen in romantic comedy ‘London, Paris, New York' to be released on March 2.
