Bollywood star Akshay Kumar went to a Pune college to promote his latest film Patiala House and did the unimaginable. He stole the cellphone of the college principal to highlight how film producers and actors feel when their video is pirated.

Akshay had gone to the college to attend a seminar on anti-piracy.  The actor was on stage with the principal, and a few other dignitaries. He wasn't prepared to make the speech but when he was at the event, the principal requested him to say a few words.

Says a source close to Akki, "Normally he comes prepared with a speech at such events, but he wasn't required to speak here, they requested him to say something at the last minute, and he was flummoxed."

Akshay sat quietly mulling over what he would say. In a flash of a second he came up the idea of flicking the Principal's (she was sitting next to him) phone to make a point.

The source continues, "Things got crazy when she realized her cellphone was missing.  It was instant chaos and everyone began looking for it. When she realised it couldn't be found she decided not to waste time and went ahead with the day's events.  When it was AK's turn to make his speech, he took the mike and apologised to the principal saying all this time her phone was in his pocket."

He then pointed to the stress and anxiety she went through when her property was stolen. He added that his producers feel the same way when their films and songs are downloaded on computers or pirated on DVDs and CDs."The actor then went on to say that piracy was not different from stealing from others. The crowds clapped at the end of his speech and the principal gave him a big hug for finding his phone.
