New Delhi: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is widely known for his breath-taking action sequences and comic timings.
However, the actor recently went on to show rough and tough yet patriotic side of himself in his last releases.
We are talking about his movies like ‘Baby' and ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty'.
And now the actor is all set to ignite the fire of patriotism across the nation with his forthcoming movie ‘Airlift' where he will be seen playing the role of Ranjit Katyal.
As Republic day is around the corner, Akshay Kumar has come up with a video sending a heart-warming open letter to India where he is seen requesting people to be true Indian and a good human being.
Currently, Akshay is busy promoting ‘Airlift' which is based on the story of evacuation of Indians from Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war. Infact the actor is quite proud to be a part of a nation which did this impossible task.
“When I realised 1,70,000 people were brought back to India on commercial aircrafts, I felt it was a huge achievement and we should celebrate this. Making people aware of it is actually celebrating the issue. When I read about it, I felt proud to be a part of India that would do this,” Akshay was reported saying.
‘Airlift', which also stars Nimrat Kaur, will hit the theatres on January 22.
