New Delhi: Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur starrer ‘Airlift' has gone on the floors. And with the film's first look, it seems that this unique on screen couple would be painting a lot of opulence with their pairing.
Akshay who is playing a giant businessman of Indian origin in the film makes it to all the regal and stern expressions in the film's first look. And Nimrat who plays his wife can be seen wrapped in all silk and satin spreading on another tangent of sophistication and royalty.
‘Airlift' constitutes the story of a Kuwaiti businessman who helps the Indian government to let free Indians trapped in Gulf areas during the war of early 90s.
As she expressed how much comfortable she was working with Akshay Kumar, Nimrat revealed that though the very fist scenes they shot were a few intimate scenes between her and the actor, Akshay always kept the mood light by cracking jokes and waving enough fun in the air.
The actress who is still garnering a lot of accolades for her performance in ‘The Lunchbox' also mentioned that she has found Akshay to be a complete down-to-earth person. “He's a huge star and I'm only starting out," ...I've been watching his movies for two decades now. But despite the stardom, he's a lovely, down-to-earth person," said Nimrat.
Directed by Raja Menon, ‘Airlift' is produced by Nikhil Advani who is also cashing high with his Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan starrer ‘Katti Batti.'
