Aamir Khan's upcoming film has garnered much anticipation already. Set to release on Christmas 2020, Mr Perfectionist has been prepping hard for Laal Singh Chaddha, which is an official adaptation of the 1994 Hollywood film, Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. The poster of Aamir as Laal Singh Chaddha certainly piqued interest when the actor shared it in November 2019. Now it seems that he is shooting in Himachal Pradesh and filming a special sequence where he is jogging.
Several pictures from the sets of the film have surfaced online showing Aamir in a long beard till his chest and shoulder-length hair, tattered clothes and a cap. While he is wearing a wristwatch in one hand, he dons a traditional kada on the other. He is seen replicating Tom Hanks' look from the 1994-film when he was running across America.
Aamir is in the hilly city of Shima, shooting for the film, where photos of him posing with fans have also surfaced on the internet. According to a Mid-Day report, Aamir has been taking painkillers for the special jogging sequence which shows that he will run across India. The actor used to jog for 10-13 km every day to prepare for the shoot and it will take about 10 days for the Shimla schedule.
The comedy-drama also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role. Earlier pictures of the actress shooting with Aamir had also reached fan pages. Aamir and Kareena will be seen together on the big screen after a long time. The duo has worked together in movies like 3 Idiots and Talaash.
Laal Singh Chaddha is being directed by Advait Chandan of Secret Superstar fame and has been written by Atul Kulkarni. Besides headlining the project, Aamir is co-producing the film along with Viacom18 Studios.
