New Delhi: As soon as the poster of Aamir Khan's PK was out, it grabbed all the eyeballs for the unconventional attempt by the actor.
In the poster Aamir was seen in the buff standing on railway tracks with only a radio set covering his modesty.
While some appreciated Aamir's attempt, many were not happy with the idea. With jokes and memes all over the web, the movie poster created quite a stir with its nudity quotient.
But there is twist in the story. What if we tell you that the PK poster is a copy from another poster? Yes, many of you might know this but a similar poster was released in 1973 by a Portuguese musician named Quim Barreiros to promote his album.
In that poster, Quim is also standing nude withholding nothing but a musical instrument that covers his modesty. It seems that Aamir Khan is not that much of a perfectionist!
The PK poster seems inspired or rather copied from a poster released by a Portuguese musician way back in 1973. This is no doubt a set back from Aamir who is known for his unique ideas and marketing strategies. It seems like Aamir now wants to be a perfectionist copycat!
This is not the first time Aamir Khan's film's poster seems to have been inspired by other posters. Previously, his Dhoom: 3 posters seemed like an exact copy of the Dark Knight poster.
The poster where Aamir is nude with a strategically placed vintage boombox has become a butt of joke and funny memes went viral criticizing Aamir's bold step.
Lot of controversies is coming up for PK's poster. A lawyer alleged that the film's poster published would incite "sexual violence" and encourage "obscenity".
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, PK also stars Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput. The film is set to hit the theatres on December 19 this year.
