Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero, though highly-anticipated, opened to mixed reviews among the audience on December 21. The film opened to lukewarm response from the audience with opening digits only Rs 20 crore at the domestic box office. The family entertainer helmed by Aanand L Rai was expected to shoot up in numbers on Christmas, since it was a holiday. But to our surprise, the rise wasn’t impressive enough to make the film jump places in the box office race. On the sixth day of its run in theatres, Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero saw a decrease in box office collection. According to a boxofficeindia report, Zero earned around Rs 5 crore at the box office on Wednesday. The total collection of Zero now stands on Rs 81 crore mark.
Zero is a romantic comedy film which is based on the life of a vertically-challenged man Bauua Singh, who doesn’t like to commit to anything. He falls in love with scientist Aafia Zaveri Bhinder while his heart still wanted to win over superstar Babita Kumari. Zero is full of lots of drama, emotions and comedy, everything that’s needed to make it a perfect family entertainer.
Made on the budget of around Rs 200 crore, now the question stands will Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero make it up its budget or not.
Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen in Rakesh Sharma's biopic Salute.
