Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who is known for not mincing his words, has lashed out at Rahul Gandhi for his speech at the University of California about dynasts in India. In series of tweets, Rishi stated that his family has been contributing to the world of cinema for the last 90 years. He added that people have to earn love and respect through hard work. Rahul in his speech talked about dynasty legacy citing the example of actor Abhishek Bachchan, which irked Rishi.
Rishi took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “Rahul Gandhi. In the 106 years of Indian cinema of India, Kapoor's contribution is 90 years. And each generation is chosen by public on merit.”
In another tweet, he wrote, “By God's grace we are in 4 generations.Prithviraj Kapoor.Raj Kapoor.Randhir Kapoor.Ranbir Kapoor-Males.Besides all others. You see otherwise.”
It seems that Rishi was very angry with Rahul’s comments. This is not the first time the actor has earlier many times expressed his anger on social media.
On the professional front, Rishi will next be seen sharing the screen space with megastar Amitabh Bachchan in 102 Not Out.
