The cinemas on September 22 is opening to Rajkummar Rao starrer film Newton, which has already created much buzz all around. Directed by Amit Masurkar, the film has received heaps of appreciation for its powerful themes and amazing storyline. Now, lead actor Rajkummar Rao, who was last seen as Pritam Vidrohi in Bareilly Ki Barfi, has revealed some interesting details about his new film. In an exclusive interview with India TV, the Aligrah actor went candid and opened up on who inspired his look in Newton.
“I have a brother named Aman who lives in Gurgaon. He has curly hair which I always found interesting so, I went ahead with this hairstyle for my film”, said Rajkummar Rao.
Speaking about the film, the 33-year-old actor said, “Newton is a black comedy, a satire drama that talks about various critical issues that India is dealing with at the moment. The highlight is that the movie deals with such serious themes in the most light-hearted manner”.
Rajkummar Rao also spoke about his co-star Pankaj Tripathi, who will be seen in the role of an Army officer in the film. “I and Pankajji have shared screen space with Gangs of Wasseypur and Bareilly Ki Barfi. It’s always fun working with him”, the actor said. For full details watch the video below
Newton revolves around a government clerk's attempt to run a fair election in a conflict-hit area. The Amit Masurkar directional venture and Rajkummar Rao starrer will battle it out with Shraddha Kapoor’s Haseena Parkar and Sanjay Dutt’s Bhoomi tomorrow.
