New Delhi: Entertainment has crossed boundaries in both the neighboring countries India and Pakistan. We have seen how Pakiatni serials have gained popularity in India, and the same goes for our home grown serials too.
But, a really popular daily show might get banned in Pakistan.
The soap in mention here is ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ which might get banned because of its ‘indecent’ content.
Media reports suggest that PEMRA (Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority), had problems with the June 1 episode of the hit serial. The official statement read that, the characters were shown 'doing indecent activities,' which violated the Electronic Media Ordinance 2015, reported Dawn.
"The TV channel had been warned earlier as well when it showed questionable scenes on April 17, 2016. The channel was asked not to air dramas that would go against the rules set by Pemra,"
the statement read.
It is being reported that if the channel fails to give an answer by June 18, the body will take further steps to take the show down.

The scene which offended the body depicted an intimate scene between the protagonists Raman (played by Karan Patel) and Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi).
Surprised at the action of Pemra, Divyanka told a leading daily,
“My saree was tied perfectly, we did not show any nudity. The scene was romantic one and it was powerful too.”
She went on,
“We get many viewers from Pakistan and I want to tell them that this show is not a typical saas bahu drama. My character is woman who is independent yet has not forgotten her family values. I hope this matter is settled soon.”
