Actor Akshay Kumar, who has started the shooting for ‘Padman’, the maiden production venture of actress and his wife Twinkle Khanna, has said that he is going to charge fees from his wife as it wouldn’t be possible for him to take her out on holidays and gift her diamonds without it.
Known for his wit and sense of humour, ‘Khiladi’ Kumar was asked by a leading daily if he would take money from his wife. Akshay, on a lighter note, said that if he doesn’t charge money, he would be unable to give Twinkle some amazing holidays she can write on. He added that without charging her, he won’t be able to put expensive rocks on her fingers.
Talking about ‘Padman’, Akshay said that the script of the film is wonderful and every man and woman should watch it. He added that the film will create awareness among the audience.
‘Padman’ is Twinkle's maiden production venture under her banner Mrs Funnybones movies. The film also stars actresses Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in prominent roles.
On a related note, Akshay’s last on-screen venture was ‘Jolly LLB 2’. The film that also starred Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla, received positive reviews and also entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club. Akshay has also wrapped up the shoot of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ opposite Bhumi Pednekar.
