Why Cheat India starring Emraan Hashmi and Shreya Dhanwanthary has hit the screens and early reviews of the movie have started pouring in on Twitter. The movie was earlier titled Cheat India but after objection, it was changed to Why Cheat India. The movie which is a satire on the education system exposes harsh reality of India. Directed by Soumik Sen, it has been produced by Bhushan Kumar, Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar. It is Hashmi's maiden production venture.
The plot of the film which deals with forgery in education is universal, hence, it is expected that it will connect with the audience. Trade analysts have predicted that Why Cheat India will rake in Rs 3.5-4 crore at the box office on first day. ''Emraan Hashmi is back on the silver screen and this time his film is different from his other mass commercial releases. It is inspired by true events and brings to the fore a ground reality. It deals with corruption within the country and its trailer has been received well by the audience. Hence, it is expected to pull people to the theaters and earn Rs 3.5-4 crore on its opening day,'' trade analyst Girish Johar told Indian Express.
