Something which every newbie actor in Bollywood would wish for is about to happen with Varun Dhawan. Reportedly, the young actor has been roped in for a movie with megastar Amitabh Bachchan. The movie titled ‘Dabba Gul’ will be produced by Yash Raj Films’ and directed by Pradeep Sarkar of the ‘Parineeta’ fame.
Reports have it that Big B has already given his dates to the makers and Varun is trying to squeeze in his schedule.
The movie will be based in Mumbai and shows the bond between the famous ‘Dabbawalas’ and a MBA topper. Reportedly in the movie, Big B will play the head of the ‘Dabbawalas’ and Varun a graduate from a top notch institute. Breaking the normal path of enrolling for an internship with a reputed company, Varun’s character decided to enrol for a two-month programme for the ‘Dabbawalas’ instead.
What happens after Varun gets in touch with Big B forms the basis of the movie.
Doling out more details about the movie, a source told a leading daily that it is a feel good movie. Big B will teach Varun nitty-gritty of business and the movie will also be inspirational in many ways.
The source further added that the movie’s idea is centric to dignity of labour. He said that though the concept is close to the 1957 movie ‘Naya Daur’, the sense of humour bears resemblance to Munnnabhai M.B.B.S.
Now, this seems interesting. Acting in a movie with Big B at such a start of the career will definitely give Varun’s career a push. Currently, the 29-year old is busy filming for ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ opposite Alia Bhatt. Big B, on the other hand is basking in the success and glory of his latest release ‘Pink’. The courtroom drama has impressed critics and viewers alike.
