Finally after a considerable amount of wait, Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri trailer is launched on Wednesday at 10 am as promised by the makers. Just like the film’s teaser, the trailer is also full of action, drama and also emotions. Vicky Kaushal’s guise reminds us of Raazi, but his character is a whole lot different in Uri. He looks determined, full of grit as he demands action against the terrorists.
Uri is based against the backdrop of surgical strikes carried out by Indian army on terror launch pads across the LOC after the infamous Uri attack. The synopsis of the movie reads, “A defining moment in India’s military history. A moment that paved a path to a new, stronger India. Presenting URI.”
The film also stars Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina, Kirti Kulhari and Paresh Rawal in important roles. Yami had chopped her short to play the role of an intelligence officer in the film. Mohit Raina, who is known for his role of mythological series Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, is playing Vicky’s colleague in the film.
While talking about Uri, director Aditya Dhar told, “This is the story of what happened in those eleven days. It’s an honour and very reassuring to be backed by Ronnie Screwvala and to execute on this vision and what we believe is an engaging and thrilling story inspired by this true-life incident.”
