It seems like Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike has refused to slow down even in its second week of release. The film which released on January 11 is continuing its winning spree at the box office. The Aditya Dhar film which is based on the real-life surgical stike conducted by Indian Army in 2016, has garnered immense praise and adulation for its cinematography, performance and storyline. Uri has earned Rs 6.30 crore on Tuesday, making the total upto Rs 122 crore.

Sharing the box office collection, trade analyt Taran Adarsh wrote, “#UriTheSurgicalStrike is winning hearts and wooing BO with josh... This one’s an audience-favourite and also BO-favourite... Uri: The Surgical Strike also has Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina, Paresh Rawal and Kirti Kulhari in important roles. The film had a strong impact on the domestic box office as well as the overseas market. The Vicky Kaushal starrer has become 2019’s first film to touch the Rs 100 crore mark. It raked in Rs 100 crore in a matter of just 10 days of its release. It’s also Vicky Kaushal’s first Rs 100-crore solo film.

Uri is Yami Gautam’s second 100-crore film after Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil. Talking about the success of the film with India Today, she said, “Very happy with the kind of response that the film has earned and is continuing to have a great run at the box office. I'm very grateful to the team behind the film, everyone has truly worked very hard."
