New Delhi: Actor Shahid Kapoor is a happy camper these days on both personal and professional front.
In personal life the actor is set to welcome his first child, while on the other hand his upcoming movie ‘Udta Punjab’ on the professional front is released today.
Shahid Kapoor, who plays the role of a Punjabi rockstar Tommy Singh in the movie, has stunned everyone and is happy with the rave reviews of audience.
His character in ‘Udta Punjab’ is shown as a drug addict, who is wild and aggressive in nature.
The movie is based on sensitive issue of growing substance abuse among youth in India.
While Shahid himself was scared to play Tommy onscreen, her ex-girlfriend and co-star from ‘Udta Punjab’ Kareena Kapoor Khan seems to be quite proud of his performance.
“An actor's job is to always make one believe it and I think Shahid has always been like that. From Ishq Vishk to Haider, he has just grown from strength to strength and I have always thought he is a wonderful actor. And in this film as well, he has done really really well,” Kareena told an entertainment portal.
Directed by Abhishek Choubey, ‘Udta Punjab’ also stars Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh.
