Twinkle Khanna has donned many hats in the past years and is now all set to don a new one. Media reports have it that Twinkle, who is a former Bollywood actress and currently an author and columnist, is all set to produce her husband Akshay Kumar’s next film. The movie will be produced under Twinkle’s new banner Mrs Funnybones Movies.
To be helmed by R. Balki, the movie will see Akshay with megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Last month, it was revealed that Balki has roped in these two superstars for his slice of life movie. Now, the latest development suggest that two members from Akshay’s family would be part of the yet-to-be titled project.
Not only this, reports suggest that while Twinkle has conceptualised the story, Balki will develop it further. It won’t be wrong to hope that the story will have loads of satire and wit, given Twinkle’s fondness for satire and sarcasm.
Earlier, Twinkle was credited as a co-producer in movies 'Tees Maar Khan', 'Thank You', 'Patiala House' and 'Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty'. These projects were produced by Akshay Kumar’s Hari Om Production.
However, it is still not clear why Twinkle will be producing the movie since R. Balki, Akshay and Big B own big production houses. Balki’s production is called Hope Productions while that of Big B is named AB Corp Ltd.
Recently, it was reported that actress Sonam Kapoor has been brought on board for this movie and will be cast opposite Akshay. With such renowned faces from the industry getting associated with this project, it is bound to raise expectations of cine buffs.
