Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Toilet Ek Prem Kath' opened with right kind of noise and amid much fanfare. Ending the dry spell at Box Office, as trade analyst Taran Adarsh says, the movie has rightly ''pumped oxygen in the lungs of an ailing film industry". The movie minted Rs 17.10 crore on Saturday while on the day of release it managed to earn Rs 13.10. Hence, the total collection of the film till date has reached to Rs 30.20 crore. Taran Adarsh confirmed the figures on his Twitter handle.

Helmed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film marked maiden collaboration of Akshay and Bhumi. The movie which revolves around still prevalent issue of open defecation promotes Prime Minister's Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. It is the story of Keshav and Jaya whose lives take an unexpected turn when Jaya decides to leave her husband for the lack of toilet. The film hit the theaters on August 11, 2017 ahead of India’s 70th Independence Day.

Taran was quite impressed by Akshay Kumar-starrer. He posted all praises for the film from his official Twitter account. ‘Excellent’, said Taran Adarsh reviewing movie in a word. He said that the film saw an upsurge in business post afternoon. According to him, the movie is doing good in mass circuits as well as appealing to multiplex audiences.
