After three versions of Hans Mat Pagli song (male, female and duet), Toilet: Ek Prem Katha makers have come up with a new song titled Bakheda. The romantic track featuring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar narrates the struggles of being in love. Sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Sukhwinder Singh, the track is catchy and, you can at once connect with it.
The song also features Sudhir Pandey, who is playing Akshay’s father in the film, and friend Divyendu Sharma. The film is a satirical take on a fight against the age-old custom of open defecation in India.
Budding romance
In the video, we can a see a budding romance brewing between Akshay and Bhumi. As they both live in a village, they meet secretly without the consent of their parents. The highlight is the amazing chemistry between the lead pair, which is simply adorable to the fullest.
The village setting is nothing new and reminds us of Shuddh Desi Romance, which featured Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Akshay shared the Bakheda song with a witty caption that read, “Jag mein na _____ se bada #Bakheda? Watch now to find out :) #Bakheda song out now”. Watch the song right here
This is the first time Akshay Kumar will be seen sharing the screen space with Dum Laga Ke Haishastar Bhumi Pednekar. Also starring Anupam Kher in a pivotal role, the film marks Akshay and actor Anupam Kher’s 20th film together. Toilet Ek Prem Katha is slated to release on August 11.
