Mumbai Rains: Deepika Padukone, Madhur Bhandarkar and other Bollywood celebs urge fans to stay safe

Bollywood celebrities including Deepika Padukone, Madhur Bhandarkar, Gul Panag and many other stars reacted on the current Mumbai flood situation.

Torrential rains lashed Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad and other parts of Maharashtra for the fourth consecutive day, severely affecting normal life and also paralysed local train and bus services in the state capital.

Many parts of Mumbai and suburbs were inundated with upto three to four feet of water, on the highways, main and arterial roads, bylanes, housing complexes, railway stations and even the Mumbai Airport.

However, barring incidents of tree collapse in different parts of the city, flooding and waterlogging, there have been no reports of any casualties so far.

Interestingly, stating her concern, Deepika asked everyone to stay safe. She wrote on her Twitter, ‘’While I do this,alerts showing up on my phone about the rains in Mumbai.Please stay safe and take care everyone.’’

Meanwhile, actress and social activists Gul Panag wrote, ‘’Brace yourself Mumbai. Heavy rain coming. Plan ahead. Stay safe.’’ 

Filmmaker, Madhur Bhandarkar also shared a video on his Instagram showing the flood condition of Mumbai.

Notably, Mumbai flood has badly affected the daily life of Mubmaikars as lakhs of commuters were stranded in trains, railway stations or at bus stops. Many failed to reach their destinations and were compelled to return to their homes.
