Tarah Adarsh took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the news. He tweeted, “It's SRK versus Akshay Kumar on 11 Aug 2017 now... Imtiaz Ali's SRK-Anushka starrer [not titled yet] versus #ToiletEkPremKatha.”
SRK’s is featuring with Anushka Sharma in the untitled project whereas Akshay will share screen space with Bhumi Pednekar in ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The year began with a big clash between SRK’s ‘Raees’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ on Republic Day. In the box-office battle, King Khan emerged as a clear winner. Now, it is yet to be seen if Akshay manages to defeat the superstar.
Previously ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ was scheduled to release on June, but due to the delay in post-production work, the date shifted to August. Thus, it is clear that SRK will not be having a solo release in August.
On a related note, Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for Twinkle Khanna’s maiden home production ‘Padman’ alongside Radhika Apte. Shah Rukh, on the other hand will also be seen doing a cameo in Salman Khan starrer ‘Tubelight’.
