The Accidental Prime Minister: Introducing reel life Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi

The Accidental Prime Minister: Arjun Mathur and Aahana Kumra are playing the roles of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi respectively in the upcoming Anupam Kher film.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher who will be seen as former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in his upcoming film The Accidental Prime Minister revealed the first look of Arjun Mathur and Aahana Kumra as reel life Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi respectively. The actor took to his social media to unveil the pictures of his co-stars. He wrote:

"Introducing Arjun Mathur as #ShriRahulGandhi and Aahana Kumra as #MsPriyankaGandhi in our movie 'The Accidental Prime Minister'. @TAPMofficial #OathCeremony #2004 #VijayGutte #SunilBohra.”

Earlier the first look of Divya Seth Shah playing Manmohan Singh’s wife on screen was dropped by Anupam Kher.

The Accidental Prime Minister has been in limelight for Anupam Kher’s jaw-dropping transformation to become Dr Manmohan Singh. At one instance, it was difficult to make out one from the another.

Sharing the first look of Accidental Prime Minister, he wrote, “Happy to share my first look of #DrManmohanSingh, India’s Former Prime Minister from the movie #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister directed by #VijayRatnakarGutte & produced by #BohraBrothers. Creative producer is @mehtahansal. Film is based on #SanjayBaru’s book with the same title.”

Based on the 2014 memoir of the same name, written by Dr Singh's media adviser Sanjay Baru, the film revolves around the life of Dr Singh, the economist and politician who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 under the United Progressive Alliance.

It also features Akshaye Khanna, who will play Baru, and Suzanne Bernert, who will portray former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, among others.

Directed by debutant Vijay Gutte and written by Hansal Mehta, the flick is all set to hit the theatres on December 21, 2018.
