He won't hurt anyone's religious sentiments ever: Sunil Grover on Sonu Nigam’s ‘Azaan’ remark

Ace comedian Sunil Grover came out in support of singer Sonu Nigam over his ‘Azaan’ remark. The comedian in his latest tweet made it clear that he is on Nigam’s side saying that the singer will never hurt anyone’s religious sentiments.

Ace comedian Sunil Grover came out in support of singer Sonu Nigam over his ‘Azaan’ remark. The comedian in his latest tweet made it clear that he is on Nigam’s side saying that the singer will never hurt anyone’s religious sentiments.

Sunil took to microblogging site Twitter to express his views on the ongoing debate. He tweeted, “I know @sonunigam sir he won't hurt anyone's religious sentiments ever. He respects all.Lets not misinterpret n give it a religious tinge.”

It all started when Sonu called the use of loud speaks in mosques and temples a ‘gundagardi’ and ‘forced religiousness’. After that people started trolling him on social media. But, Bollywood seems to be divided on the issue.

Sunil is supporting the singer whereas Mika Singh took a jibe at him in his latest tweet saying that he should change his house and not the loudspeakers.

Sunil and Sonu share a great bond. After the comedian’s in-flight tussle with Kapil Sharma, Sunil appeared as Dr. Mashoor Gulati on the singing reality show Indian Idol. Sonu is one of the judges on the show. After shooting the episode, Sonu even appreciated Sunil.

In his latest tweets, Sonu stood by his statements and stated that loudspeakers should not be allowed in mosques and temples. It is yet to be seen how Sonu deals with the furore that his tweets have created on social media.
