New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s recent release ‘Sultan’, which was one of the most avidly awaited movies of the year, is doing wonders at the box office.

The movie became the highest opening grosser of the year, with a collection of Rs. 36.54 cr on first day and has minted Rs 37.20 crores on the second of its release as well.

‘Sultan’ has earned Rs. 73.74 cr within just two days release.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the recent box office collections of the Salman Khan starrer, saying “#Sultan did REMARKABLE biz on Thu [Day 2]... Wed 36.54 cr, Thu 37.20 cr. Total: ₹ 73.74 cr. India biz... EXTRAORDINARY!”

Interestingly, if ‘Sultan’ continued its pace at the box office, it is expected to enter the Rs 100 crore club by end of today ie. 3rd day of release, says Taran Adarsh. It will be Salman’s 10th movie to enter the 100 crore club, highest for any Bollywood star.

The huge figures will mark another achievement for ‘Sultan’ as it will recover its entire cost of production which was Rs 90 crores, in just three days.

‘Sultan’ was released on 4500 screens in India and is witnessing advance booking and house full boards at the theatres.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie also features Anushka Sharma in the lead role.
