New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan is finally enjoying the fruits of the hard work he put in for his movie ‘Sultan’. The movie has become an All Time Bollywood Blockbuster and with this Salman has become the undisputed ruler of the box office.
To prefect the role of a wrestler, Salman gave his all. He put on weight, lost it then gained it again only to get rid of it few months later.
While Salman’s hard work is getting converted to box office numbers and ‘Sultan’ has earned over Rs 500 crores worldwide, there is more to the filming of this movie than one could imagine. Apparently, director Ali Abbas Zafar had to convince Salman for three long months for a particular scene.
Salman was a apprehensive about him having a paunch, especially because his well toned body is what inspires many to exercise. He was reportedly worried that he might not lose weight and come back in shape.
Divulging details about the scene Ali told a leading daily, “That was the only scene he was scared of on paper because he is known for a certain body type. His picture can be found in almost every gym in India. He is the Bible of bodybuilding, but he understood the character and he knew that it was the most important scene in the film for him. Till the time they see that character break down and crumble the audience won’t relate to him.”
Reports also suggest that the crew was supposed to shoot the scene in Karjat during the first schedule but it got postponed because Salman was not ready. “Audience should feel that yeh Salman Khan hai, lekin yaar mujhe abhi toh Sultan dikh raha hai. There was only one take of that scene. I have shot it on two cameras. There is no cut in that scene. It’s a two minute single shot,” he added.
Well, definitely like all the convincing and work out favoured the movie, something which is evident from the box office collections of the movie. Till Tuesday, the 12th of July, ‘Sultan’ earned Rs 200 crores.
