Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who is all set to play the role of Varun Dhawan’s wife in Sui Dhaaga: Made in India, learned embroidery by professionals for three months to perfect her character. She plays the role of Mamta, and Varun plays the role of Mauji in this film that is about a couple starting their own company that makes handmade garments. Today, the makers dropped a video of how Anushka Sharma got Mamta’s look right for Sui Dhaaga.

Taking to her Twitter handle, Anushka Sharma shared the video in which she is seen talking about her film’s character Mamta.

“The makers were quite doubtful as to whether I could fit into Mamta’s character, but I knew from the very beginning that I could do it. I never had a doubt for even a single second”, says Anushka Sharma.

Furthermore, she added, “From the pallu over my head, to the dhaaga that I wear around my neck to the decision to go completely without make-up, all this has created this character. The best part was that it took flat 20 minutes to get into Mamta’s look. Mamta will always be a very, very special role in my filmography.”
