Soorma, featuring actor Diljit Dosanjh is indeed a powerful retelling of a magnificent story based on the life of Hockey legend Sandeep Singh. The trailer of the film received positive response from the movie buffs and Diljit left no stone unturned to play a hockey player on the silver screen. Well, many renowned celebrities including Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar attended the special screening and they are in awe of the film.
Sachin took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “A real story portrayed beautifully on reel. @sandeepsingh's determination to play for India is truly commendable, enjoyed watching #Soorma a lot. My best wishes to the entire cast and crew. @imangadbedi @diljitdosanjh @taapsee.”

On a related note, Soorma is the story of Hockey player Sandeep who got paralysed after meeting an unfortunate incident. But this didn’t stop him from making his country proud.
Along with Dijit, the movie also features Taapsee Pannu in a pivotal role. Directed by Shaad Ali, Soorma is all set to hit the screens on July 13.
