New Delhi: Looks like British band Coldplay has cast a spell on the leading ladies of Bollywood.
We all know how fan girl actress Sonam Kapoor went bonkers when she was offered a minuscule role in Coldplay’s ‘Hymn For The Weekend’.
But, Sonam is not the only one who is a fan of this popular band. In fact, her contemporaries Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt too are as crazy for the band as Sonam.
Yesterday, the on screen ‘Neerja’ attended the concert of Coldplay in London and so did Alia and Deepika, not in London though. Alia and DP were spotted at a Coldplay concert in Berlin, Germany along with director Shakun Batra.
The Kapoor & Sons actress also shared a video on her Instagram page from the concert.
But, in terms of fandom Sonam got something which might make the other two heroines jealous. The fashionista of Bollywood got special passes to the concert and backstage access too. So, while thousands of fans were gathered at the auditorium to catch a glimpse of singer Chris Martin and his team, Sonam was chilling with them back stage.
Speaking to a leading daily after the concert, Sonam said, “The concert was epic with a great vibe. They played my all-time favourite track "Paradise" too. I went with my London girl gang, we were singing and dancing all through it.”
Sonam’s appearance in the Coldplay music video last year was just for three shots and she had received flak for agreeing to such a small part. Back then Sonam had lashed out at all her critcs saying that she has been a fan of this band since she was a kid.
“It was Coldplay, after all, and people could just shut up”, Sonam had said and from the look of her pictures it seems her craziness for the band is still intact.
