Simmba Poster of Simmba

The poster of Simmba shows Ranveer as a cop, who is looking all excited and happy. Simmba is a Hindi remake of a hit Telugu film Temper. Sharing the first poster of Simmba through social media platform, Karan Johar also announced the release date of the film. This Rohit Shetty directorial is all set to hit theatres on December 28, 2018. In the film, Ranveer will be seen in an action-packed avatar and his character is named as 'Bhalerao Sangram'.

The original film Temper, which was made in Telugu, featured Jr NTR. And now the remake rights of the film have been bought by filmmaker Rohit Shetty.

Speculations are also rife that actress Kajal Agrawal, who also featured in the original film, will play the leading lady in Simmba.

Earlier, Kajal in an interview with DNA was quoted saying, "I would love to work with Ranveer Singh. He is an extremely talented actor. Also, I'd surely like to work with Rohit Shetty again."

On work front, Ranveer is currently busy in the shooting of Zoya Akhtar directorial project Gully Boy, which also stars Alia Bhatt. Ranveer will also be seen Sanjay leela Bhansali’s controversial historical saga Padmavati alongside Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor.
