Sharddha Kapoor has rubbished the reports of her being a part of Rohit Shetty’s upcoming directorial ‘Golmaal 4’, saying that there is no truth in these rumours.
The actress said that though she is keen to work with Rohit, she isn’t a part of his forthcoming project starring Ajay Devgn in the lead.
It’s been a while that reports about Shraddha bagging the lead role in ‘Golmaal 4’ has been doing the rounds. But the ‘Rock On 2’ actress has put all rumours to rest.
She stated that the last movie she has signed this year is Haseena Parker biography by director Apoorva Lakhia, in which she plays the lead role.
Haseena Parker happens to be Dawood Ibrahim’s late sister and her biography has been one of the most anticipated movies of 2017.
Currently, Shraddha is busy promoting her upcoming movie ‘Rock On 2’ starring Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal, which is scheduled to release on November 11 this year.
Interestingly, before Shraddha Kapoor, several other names were also speculated for the female lead of ‘Golmaal’ 4 from Parineeti Chopra to Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone.
But all these turned out to be mere rumours. In fact, It was also reported that thought the makers had almost finalised Alia Bhatt for the movie, but she was later dropped owing to Ajay Devgn’s tiff with Karan Johar.
Apparently, Rohit Shetty had once mentioned of roping in a young actress for ‘Golmaal 4’, but he is yet to zero-in on a name.
The movie happens to be the fourth instalment of the popular ‘Golmaal’ franchise and will also feature Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade in key roles.
