New Delhi: Actress Shilpa Shinde who became one of the most known faces of television industry might not have peaceful sleep for a while now. She got embroiled in a controversy after she left the hit show, ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain’ in the middle. Shilpa who played Angoori Bhabhi had an ugly spat with her producer Binaifer Kohli.
Shilpa alleged that the producers of the show are torturing her mentally. What followed was a series of allegations and counter allegations between the two.
Looks like the fight brought in more troubles for Shilpa than she anticipated. Cine And Tv Artistes Association, CINTAA has decided to issue a non-cooperative directive against the former Angoori Bhabhi, suggested media reports. A non-cooperative directive means that no broadcaster or producer will be allowed to work with her.
"We tried to reason with the actress on several occasions. Finally, we have decided to act on the issue after contemplating over it for a month. She is setting a wrong precedent and we have no choice but to support the producer,”
said Amit Behl, Chairperson Dispute Committee, CINTAA to a leading daily.
Dilip Pithva, Honorary General Secretary, FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees),
"We have discussed the case, but are yet to take a decision on it. Shilpa wanted the case to be tackled by our body, but did not turn up for the meeting on three occasions despite several calls and text messages. We need the producers to send us a letter before confirming that they will ban their colleague if he/she happens to cast Shilpa in the future.”
It was being said that post her exit from BGPH, Shilpa will be seen in comedian Kapil Sharma’s upcoming TV show, The Kapil Sharma Show. But looks like, CINTAA’s interference has snatched this opportunity from her too.
According to buzz, Shilpa who was earlier approached for the role of a sexy nurse in the show has been replaced by model Rochelle Rao. The makers of The Kapil Sharma Show, did not want any controversy so they dropped Shilpa of the project.
Let us see what turn Shilpa’s career takes from here.
