The entire nation went into a state of shock yesterday as legend actor Vinod Khanna passed away. The handsome hunk left behind trails of amazing memories that B-town celebs will never forget.
While Vinod Khanna’s contemporaries such as Amitabh Bachchan, Ranjit and Rishi Kapoor attended his funeral, close friend Shatrugan Sinha remembered the last time he met the legend.

Speaking to Daily Bhaskar, Shatrugan said, "Vinod and I go a long way. From becoming overnight stars with Mere Apne, to doing many films together. This journey broke boundaries and we shared a bond that went beyond reel but real life," says an emotionally shaken Sinha, who sighs, "Yeh dukh se zyada, sadme ki ghadi hai."
"In terms of appearance and personality, I have been a fan of Vinod, Dharmendra and Kabir Bedi. And I have mentioned this many a times to him, in return he would just laugh it off. But frankly I have liked the dashing look of Vinod in his movies," remembers the actor.
Shatrugan Sinha also mentioned that the late actor is irreplaceable and he hopes his family gets the strength to handle the demise of such a pure soul.
Furthermore, he added, “On the closing note, I remember an emotional song from our film Mere Apna. It goes like, Koi Hota Jisko Apna, Hum Apana Keh Lete Yaaron, Paas Nahin To Door Hee Hota, Lekin Koi Mera Apna".
