New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan’s latest ‘Fan’ has done wonders for the Bollywood superstar. The movie not just brought back the actor in SRK but is also minting crores at the box office.
‘Fan’ is winning appreciation from audience across the world. The rave views about the movie are indeed a reason for SRK and his fans to celebrate.
But not just emotions, ‘Fan’ is going really good with numbers as well. It’s just fourth days since the release of the movie on April 15 and the movie has already smashed three box office records so far.
# Talking about the first day box office report, with a collection of Rs. 19.20 cr, ‘Fan’ became the HIGHEST OPENING DAY GROSSER of 2016. Earlier, the title was held by Akshay Kumar’s ‘Airlift’ which had Rs. 12.35 cr on its opening day.
# Despite such a strong performance on its opening day, ‘Fan’ witnessed a drop in its collection in the weekend. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the first weekend collection of the movie as it collected Rs. 19.20 cr on Friday, Rs. 15.40 cr on Saturday and Rs. 17.75 cr on Sunday. While the total weekend collection for ‘Fan’ sums up to Rs. 52. 35 cr, it has successfully surpassed the first weekend collection of ‘Airlift’ which was Rs. 44.03 cr. Hence, ‘Fan’ becomes HIGHEST OPENING WEEKEND GROSSER of 2016.
# SRK’s ‘Fan’ is not just making new records in India but is also doing the same in Pakistan as well. The movie received an amazing opening in Pakistan since release and has even crashed the record of Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ in its opening weekend.
‘Fan’ has earned 50 million from the Pakistani box office, surpassing the opening weekend record of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ which earned 31.8 million in July.
Despite, breaking three records at the box office in just three days of release the collection of ‘Fan’ saw a major fall on Monday as is managed to earn just Rs. 6.05cr.
We wonder if Shah Rukh Khan’s magic will be able to take up the figures for ‘Fan’ now.
