New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s forthcoming movie ‘Raees’ has been the talk of the town since its inception.

The movie was said to clash with Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ this year, making it as one of the biggest box-office clashes of the year.

However, this big clash has been averted now. While Salman’s ‘Sultan’ will hit the screens on Eid this year, SRK has postponed the release of ‘Raees’ to early 2017.

Yes! ‘Raees’ will now release on January 26, 2017.

This was confirmed by a joint statement issued by King Khan and his producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

“It was not an easy decision to move the film. We understand that this film is highly anticipated. However, a movie of such magnitude requires the appropriate showcasing and therefore, we have decided to shift our release date to 26th January 2017,” read the official statement.

The SRK starrer also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan.

Apparently, ‘Raees’ is said to now have a clash with Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’.

Helmed by Sanjay Gupta, ‘Kaabil’ will also feature Yami Gautam. While it is for the first time Hrithik will be romancing Yami onscreen, it is reported that they both play the role of blinds in the movie.
