The magnum opus project ‘Padmavati’ that went on floors a few days ago, has been joined by Shahid Kapoor. The actor shared on Twitter yesterday to tell that he has begun shooting for the movie.
From quite some time now, ‘Padmavati’ has been a newsmaker for many reasons. The coming on board of stars Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone was preceded by a lot of speculations.
Post that, grapevine was abuzz that the tow male leads have been at loggerheads because of this movie.
But after a lot of rumours about it, Shahid finally started shooting for the movie. He was seen sporting a beard.
"Day 1. 'Padmavati' wish me luck guys," Shahid captioned the image.
Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi sultan, who is enamoured of Padmavati.
