New Delhi: It has been a while since rumours about actor Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput being pregnant started doing the rounds of media. Her latest appearance at the Lakme Fashion Week added fuel to these rumours and looks like there was substance in that news, after all.
A source very close to the star couple confirmed to a popular tabloid that Mira is pregnant. He said,
“She is in her second trimester, halfway through her pregnancy.”
Now, this is extremely happy news for the couple who tied the knot on July 7, 2015. We have seen many times how doting a husband Shahid is and we can imagine how happy the daddy-to-be would be.
The marriage of Shahid and Mira was an arranged one. Shahid's father, Pankaj Kapur, who knew Mira's father as they belong to the Radha Soami Satsang Beas sect, proposed a match between the two.
Shahid was more than happy with the match as he wanted someone from the non-filmi background in order to lead a normal, peaceful life. Since they tied he knot, the couple are happily settled in a Juhu apartment.
On the work front, Shahid is working on Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon’ and Abhishek Chaubey's dark drugs drama, ‘Udta Punjab’. Apart from these two he doesn’t have any other commitments. Perhaps, he would be taking a paternity leave once his first born arrives soon after their first anniversary.
