Over the last few years, the Hindi film industry is following a new trend to pull crowds to the cinemas. While star power and good storyline fall under the tried and tested methods, festivals have emerged as the new crowd puller in Bollywood. And superstar Khans- Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman know it better than anyone else and hence, these celebs have blocked all major festivals in 2018. While some may view these dates as ‘festive gifts’ from stars to their fans, it also points to an inclination where superstars tend to bank more on festival seasons rather than their star quotient or movie’s storyline.

Shah Rukh Khan- Christmas

SRK, who failed to spell magic with his last film Jab Harry Met Sejal opposite Anushka Sharma, has booked Christmas 2018 with Aanand L Rai’s next.  While not much is known about the untitled film as of now, fans are excited to see King Khan portray the role of a dwarf in the film. The movie will also star Anushka and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles.

Aamir Khan- Diwali

The dependable actor of Bollywood Aamir Khan created a revolution with Dangal and now, the superstar is all set for a Diwali release this 2018. The 52-year-old actor will star in Thugs Of Hindostan, which also features Amitabh Bachchan in a leading role. Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh have been roped in as the leading ladies. The project is being directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and will release in Diwali next year.

Salman Khan- Eid

 

The Bhai of Bollywood loves to release his films on the festival on Eid. Even though his last Eid release Tubelight failed to impress critics and even Salman Khan fans. On Eid 2018, Salman will weave magic onscreen with Kick 2, according to reports. The Sultan actor yet again collaborated with Sajid Nadiadwala for the sequel of Kick, which released in 2014. While Salman romanced Jacqueline Fernandez in the first prequel, the second part reportedly has Kriti Sanon as the leading lady.
