Here is a tale about superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan that no one would have guessed. Apparently, SRK had recommended Salman’s name for his year 2000 hit movie ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’. This revelation was made by director Nikhil Advani in the book ‘SRK 25 years of life’ written by Samar Khan.
In one of the excerpts, Nikhil narrated the entire incident. He said that after shooting for some four to five days, SRK flew to Germany. The next day he called Nikhil to tell him that he won’t be able to continue the movie because of his back injury. King Khan told Nikhil that the surgery was more serious than he thought and have to pull out of the project.
Later, Shah Rukh rang up close friend Karan Johar (who was also the writer and co-producer of the movie) to bring in Salman on board. King Khan said that he would speak to Salman in this matter.
But SRK’s idea was rejected by both Karan and Nikhil. They told him that the movie was written keeping him in mind, and the duo was willing to postpone the shoot for nine months.
Shah Rukh recommending Salman’s name for a movie tells his admiration for his 'Karan Arjun' co-star.
The two stars gave another glimpse of their bromance yesterday when the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ star announced the date of Shah Rukh’s next. Yesterday evening, he took to Twitter to tell that the yet untitled movie will release on August 11, 2017.
Recently, the super hit movie completed 13 years, and King Khan had tweeted about this too.
