New Delhi: Actor Randeep Hooda has got rave reviews for his titular role in the biopic ‘Sarbjit’. Randeep went through tumultuous days to perfect the role. He had shared details about his drastic weight loss, he lost 18 kgs in a span of 28 days, used to chain himself in his bathroom and write letters to director Omung Kumar to get into the skin of the character.
Many critics have appreciated his acting and now megastar Amitabh Bachchan has joined the bandwagon. Big B, who was in awe of the film, wrote a hand written letter for Randeep and the reel Sarbjit could not be happier.
In the letter Big B wrote that after seeing Randeep in Sarbjit, he is impressed by his immense dedication.
Randeep shared the letter and his feeling of overwhelm on his Twitter account:
Senior actor Big B, has developed this habit of appreciating talent in movies. In the past he had written compliments filled letters to Kangana Ranaut (for Queen) and Ranveer Singh (For Bajirao Mastani) as well.
Sarbjit is the story of a farmer from Punjab who lands in Pakistan prison following some unfortunate incidents. After spending over two decades in the prison, he died. In the movie, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays the role of Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur and it chronicles her struggle.
