Actor Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film based on the real life of actor Sanjay Dutt will hit the screens on March 30, next year. The news was shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. It is being said that makers of the film have postponed the release to avoid the clash with superstar Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai.
Taran took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the news. He tweeted, “BreakingNews: Sanjay Dutt biopic to release on 30 March 2018... Rajkumar Hirani directs... Stars Ranbir Kapoor... NOTE: Not titled yet.”
Speculations were rife that the film will clash with Salman’s Tiger Zinda Hai. Talking about that a source has revealed that Ranbir’s film is one of awaited films of the year and the makers want maximum eyeballs for it. Looking at the huge fan following of Salman, the decision to postpone the release was made in terms of business.
However, makers Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vino Chopra haven’t revealed the reason behind the delayed release. The title of the film is yet to be finalised. Along with Ranbir, the film will also feature Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza and Karishma Tanna in crucial roles.
After Sanjay Dutt biopic, Fox Star Studios will also be working with Vidhu Vinod Chopra for his next flick. On a related note, Tiger Zinda Hai marks the third collaboration of Salman and Kabir Khan. The film stars Katrina Kaif opposite the superstar.
