Salman Khan to star in Bollywood remake of Korean hit film Veteran

After wrapping up Bharat, Salman Khan will begin working on Hindi remake of Korean film Veteran.

There’s a good news coming for Salman Khan fans as the superstar is all set to feature in another remake of a Korean film. The film is going to be a cop thriller. The makers of Atul Agnihotri’s Reel Life Production have acquired the rights from CJ Entertainment to remake Veteran, according to Bollywood Hungama. However, the superstar is yet to make an official announcement about the same. After playing Chulbul Pandey in Dabanng, Salman Khan is all set to don the cop avatar in this remake.

Talking about the Korean film Veteran, the film went on to become the fourth highest grossing film in South Korean cinema history. It was directed by Ryoo Seung-wan and had popular actor Hwang Jung-min as the male lead in the film. Yoo Ah-in played the antagonist in the superhit film. The story revolves around a police officer Seo Do-cheol who is merciless and tough and is unforgiving when it comes to crime. While solving a high-profile case, he meets a young arrogant millionaire Jo Tae-oh who later becomes his arch enemy.

Currently, Salman Khan is busy shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat. Interestingly, the film is also a Hindi adaptation of Korean war drama Ode to My Father. The film also stars Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi and Tabu in lead roles. It’s going to be Salman Khan’s Eid offering for 2019. So far, a teaser from the film has been dropped by the makers which introduces the different characters that Salman Khan is playing in the film.
