The sequel of the hit 2012 movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ had all of superstar Salman Khan’s fans excited. Now another scoop from the movie will add to their excitement. Media reports suggest that Salman’s character will age from 17 to 70 in the movie.
This will be the first time that Salman Khan will play an old man on the silver screen.
It should be noted that unlike the first instalment which was directed by Kabir Khan, this project will be helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Ali worked with Salman in the 2016 blockbuster ‘Sultan’.
In ‘Sultan’, under Ali’s direction Salman played an out and about wrestler. The way Sutlan rose to heights and his downfall to rising again made up for the movie. For this, Salman went through drastic physical changes. Looks like Ali is all set to put Salman through the same ordeal with ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. After all playing an aging man on the screen is not the easy and it requires hours of make-up.
Speaking about the movie and this new role which Salman will don, an insider told a leading daily that it was Ali’s idea to give the 50-year old actor something ‘hatke’.
Salman Khan was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar in Sultan
The insider reportedly said that the sequel will take the story of RAW agent Tiger/Manish Chandra/ Avinash Singh Rathore (Salman Khan) forward. The movie will chronicle the different phases of Tiger’s life, from his depressing lows to overwhelming highs. The movie is expected to release on Eid 2018.
Ek Tha Tiger was a blockbuster
In ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, Salman romanced his ex flame actress Katrina Kaif. The movie was a huge box office success with its lifetime collections of Rs 198.78 crores.
Interestingly, a recent movie showed its characters aging spanning their lives over 40 years. In Nitya Mehra’s debut movie ‘Baar Baar Dekho’, Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra were shown as an ageing couple. To make it look convincing, prosthetic make up was used on the on-screen couple.
