New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan is making it to the headlines very often these days and the reason is none other than his marriage. The rumours regarding ‘Sultan’ star tying the knot with Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur are doing the rounds for quite a while now.
At an event recently, Salman Khan addressed his marriage rumours and stated that he will announce the big news on Twitter whenever it will happen.
His statement did give some masala to the tabloids reporting his marriage news but guess Salman is on revealing mode nowadays.
In an interview to a leading daily, Sallu bhai opened up a little more about his marriage rumours, having babies and relationship with Iulia Vantur.
Here are some excerpts from the interview:
1. On his marriage rumours
"These are just rumours as you said yourself. If I had got engaged or was getting married, I wouldn’t wait for the news to leak out. I would announce it myself, it would be a proud moment for me, thode hi main chup rahoonga like those yesteryear stars who hid their wives thinking that it would lessen their fan following. I know the whole country would be happy for me."
2. On attending Preity Zinta-Gene Goodenough’s wedding reception with Iulia Vantur
"Was I with her or was she with my sister (Alvira)? I ran away in front. I don’t want to keep the press so busy. My private life may be national news but it’s not that important."
3. On wanting a child more than wife
"Yes, I’d like to have a child but the problem with that is with the child the mother comes along. If I can avoid the mother and have a child I wouldn’t mind two or three. Tell me, if there’s a solution. If it has to happen, it will. It might just happen one night, I’ll wake up in the morning to the thought, ‘ho gayi hai, ab jhelo isse! *laughs*"
4. On the prospective Mrs. Khan
"That’s the problem; there are lots of lovely women around. You said it. Hey, I’m just kidding, life is beautiful and I would be happy if marriage happened. And if it doesn’t…*shrugs*"
Salman, your fans desperately want you to get hitched. Please bring in Mrs Khan as soon as possible!
