Superstar Salman Khan who is also the good will ambassador of Rio Olympics congratulated badminton player PV Sindhu on her performance today. Sindhu brought India a silver medal in the singles badminton final match at the Rio Olympics.
In a nail biting match, PV Sindhu lost to Spain’s Carolina Marin 2-1.
Like other eminent personalities who tweeted about Sindhu, Salman took to the micro blogging website too. He shared a picture of him and the shuttler with a a caption, “Saw d finals on tv with my mom and told her I hv a picture with Sindhu . Proud .” (sic).

Salman Khan had earlier announced that he would be giving a cheque of Rs 1,01,000 to every Olympian. He had tweeted that he is doing this to appreciate the hard word of the sportspersons.
Interestingly, Salman’s last release ‘Sultan’ too was about the rise and fall of a wrestler. In this sports drama, he stuck all the right chords, in which Salman was the wrestler who fought against all odds to bring a medal for the country. ‘Sultan’ is the most successful movie of this year, in terms of box office collections and has minted over Rs 600 crore worldwide.
