Superstar Salman Khan, who is one of the goodwill ambassadors of Rio Olympics, will present a cheque of Rs1 Lakh to every Olympic athlete as a gesture of appreciation.
The ‘Sultan’ star took to his Twitter account to make the announcement, which would surely uplift the morals of the sportspersons participating in the international event.
“As a gesture of appreciation for our Olympic athletes, I will present each one with a cheque of Rs1,01,000,” he tweeted.
Further, in a series of tweets, Salman appreciated the government’s commitment towards sports and asked the common people to encourage the sports nation.

The government is very supportive of sports. Each of us can also do our bit to encourage a sports nation,” he tweeted.
He also appreciated the work of OGQ and the private companies who are supporting the Olympics.
