Renowned screenwriter and father of superstar Salman Khan, Salim Khan welcomed the verdict of Bombay High Court which allows the entry of women in the restricted grave area of Haji Ali Dargah. Salim hailed the judgment by saying that it is what the Hadess and Quran say.

After the judgement was passed on Friday, Muslim clerics had questioned it saying that while they respect the court, the ruling goes against Islam.

"High court judgement on Haji Ali endorses what Hadees and Quran have said. To be a good Muslim, you have to be a good human being," Salim tweeted on Saturday.

Salim also shared that it's the "Mullas and Maulvis", who have complicated an uncomplicated religion like Islam.

"Mazar and Durga are graves men and women both can visit them as there is no gender discrimination in Islam. Mullas and Maulvis are complicating an uncomplicated religion like Islam," he added.

The 80-year-old also shared that Fatwa is not a verdict.

"Even Fatwa is not a verdict as people think, it's an opinion given by an Islamic scholar," he wrote.
