Filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s directorial venture Dilwale that reunited silver screen’s favourite Jodi, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol after a long gap, received tepid reviews and the director’s mother feels that it was a good thing. In an interview to a leading online portal, the filmmaker revealed that the original story of the film was altered to make room for romance as they were well aware of SRK and Kajol’s fan following.
He added that romance is not his brand of cinema and he has learned it hard way. The director went on to say that he wants to remake the film with the original story after 10 years. He thinks that after this much gap, people will forget about Dilwale and will watch the film with fresh mind.
But, do you really think people will like to watch Dilwale. Well, the movie had everything that could have made it a blockbuster. A hit director, a superhit jodi and melodious songs like Gerua. But, it lacked good story and that was reason behind its debacle.
These days movie buffs are getting wiser with their choices and filmmakers are also making films with some fantastic subjects.
On a related note, Rohit is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Golmaal Again which is all set to hit the screens on October 19.
