Rishi Kapoor lands in trouble after his tweet demanding a repeat of Sourav Ganguly's act at Lords
Actor Rishi Kapoor is known for not mincing his words on social media. This is the reason his tweets always get attention. Lately, the actor has landed himself in trouble when he joked about repeating Indian former captain Saurav Ganguly’s memorable shirtless celebration after India wins the Women’s World Cup final. His tweet as usual attracted Twitteraties, who started trolling him for his insensitive tweet. Though India lost the match but things didn’t end for Rishi.
Rishi took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “Waiting for a repeat of Sourav Ganguly's act on the balcony of The Lords Ground,London, when India beat England 2002 NatWest series final! YO.”
This gathered everybody’s attention and people stated slamming him for it. Later the veteran actor posted another tweet clarifying that he had not said any woman player to repeat the act and told trollers that their mind set is wrong.
He tweeted, “what wrong have i said? i didnt say any female player should!i only said sourav ganguly should repeat his show. you have a wrong mind dear!”
But, the damage was too severe to be repaired as people were too angry to understand anything.
On the professional front. Rishi will be seen sharing the screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in 102 Not Out. The movie is based on Gujarati play of the same name.
