On Saturday, the 50-year-old actor was appointed as the Goodwill ambassador for the sporting event, making him the first actor to do so. While his fans were proud of their ‘Bhaijaan’, few renowned sportspersons like wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt and sprint legend Milkha Singh condemned it.

However, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) defended its decision saying that Salman is apt enough to represent India. Yesterday, Salman’s father renowned screenwriter Salim Khan came in support of his son saying that Bollywood has helped Milkha Singh from fading away.
