After a string of kissing posters released in the past few months, the trailer of ‘Befikre’ was unveiled yesterday. The trailer took the chemistry of actors Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor to a new pedestal. The trailer writes one thing on the wall absolutely clear, that these days saying ‘I Love You’ is one of the most threatening things for the young at heart.

In sharp contradiction to what happened in early movies, where the three magical words marked the beginning of a love story; in this movie the protagonists are worried that it will be their tale’s end. Right at the start of the trailer, Ranveer and Vaani promise that they won’t say ‘I love you’ to each other.

The rest of the 2 minutes 40 seconds trailer traces how they plan on keeping the promise. Dharam (Ranveer) and Shyra (Vaani) then go about living their lives sans any commitment. They party, striptease, kiss, make love, get arrested, and all sort of carefree things, sans any sort of commitment.

It should be noted that with the movie director Aditya Chopra may have captured the essence of the young these days. Without wanting an albatross around their neck they are in favour of all the fun they can enjoy. The motto ‘You Live Only Once’ has been seeded in their minds. It is this mantra that has maybe made them scared of commitment and all of that.

With a topic which will definitely resonate with the youth, ‘Befikre’ might just become their movie. Releasing on 9th December, this movie may break all stereotypes of the old age romance of Bollywood.
